About Us

Kid Proofers is a Colorado based company founded by two dads with a background in custom home building over the past 12 years. During that time both John Craft and Steven Lopez (now having small children of their own) realized that the average home is not designed, constructed or furnished with the safety needs of a child in mind. Unfortunately, many safety issues in a home do not fall under any kind of building code requirement. Therefore, it is left up to a parent to meet the safety needs of their child.

Both of us have young children of our own and know the dangers that a curios child can get into around a home. We also know, having been in the construction industry in Colorado, that although home safety products can be installed by weekend warriors, it is a project that takes a fair amount of time and effort. Our professional installers have a backgroundin the construction industry and can install your safety products quickly, correctly, and professionally so that your home is left undamaged and your safety products do their job.

Our background in custom home building allows us to bring a unique perspective to home safety for kids.
